fuckkkkkk I get so emotional!
BUT. It reminds me why I am in history. I was all feeling weird the first day of school because I feel unsure of what the future holds. But there's no need to know. What I do need to know is what the past held. At some point, like the professors and TAs, I will also have an area of specialty, an area of expertise, a period and piece of history that I will always hold onto, that I will never learn enough about and that place in time for me is the time of the Second World War.
I often find myself saying that so many people have studied about it, researched, spoken, written about it etc. But that's really the same with a lot of things. Knowledge does need to be transferred, when experts on certain topics die, someone needs to replace them, right?
Yeah. I needed to reassure myself of that and I believe it worked.
Who knows, maybe I will be a professor? Or maybe not.
I'll let the wind guide meeeeeeeeeeeeeee haha
